Brief

To design luxurious invitations to Amphora’s exclusive wine tasting events.

Response

I used Mohawk Superfine Eggshell in Ultra White for this project as it is a smooth tactile uncoated paper in a good, neutral white. Paper choice plays an important role in creating a feeling of luxury as well as being one of the first things the recipients notice as they open the envelope. In this case I also needed paper which was neither too yellow nor too blue as either of these extremes would sit uncomfortably with the pink branding.

Four spot colours are used to achieve accurate, high-intensity colours on the uncoated paper. A final run of the pink ink allowed the thermography powder used to create the raised and glossy finish to only adhere to selected pink areas.
