What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that’s placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while others are stored more permanently. Cookies cannot contain viruses, or read information stored on your computer.

How I use cookies

Google Analytics I use Google Analytics to understand how you use this site, allowing me to improve the information that I provide. Google Analytics works by using cookies. The data that is collected is general, demographic information about visits to my website. For example, I am able to find out which pages of my website are visited most often, how long visits last, and the sort of devices visitors are using.

The cookies Google Analytics use to do this are: google-analytics.com. The data collected by Google Analytics will be stored for fourteen months, after which time it will be automatically deleted.
