Learning materials for amber // APLIN

To design learning materials including a course handbook, certificate of attendance, quiz and feedback form for the amber // APLIN biomimetic dentistry courses.

The course handbook needed to be used by delegates to take notes during sessions and as an aide-memoire they could refer back to in the future.

Project notes

I specified Wire-O binding to allow the handbook to open flat, while uncoated paper makes writing in the handbook easier. Thick paper weights and matte laminate on the cover help make the document durable for future reference.

Amber supplied all the text and sketches of the diagrams she wanted to include. Working from this, I presented all the content, redrawing the diagrams to ensure a consistent visual style throughout the handbook. I also allowed plenty of space for note-taking.

The course certificates, feedback form and quiz followed the style of the handbook, ensuring that all delegate materials looked professional and consistent throughout the course.

“The course booklet is a work of art serving as an aide memoir as I implement the changes in my own clinical work.”
